So yes I am being organised this year and have already started making my Christmas gift tags!
Yes shock horror the world must be coming to an end if I am organising myself like this lol
So heres the tag
I'm quite pleased with it's vintage look, I stamped the images in Early Espresso and also inked all the edges in this too. I've used the large scalloped circle, the top not die and I think the 1 1/2 inch circle punch. I've stamped on Real Red card, Garden Green and Whisper White. The stamp set is Christmas Lodge. I adore this stamp set mainly because it pleases my childhood view of how Christmas should be. I've used a vintage brad and some gems to finish it off.
I hope you like it, if you would like any of the items used to make this card please email me your order at debbie72keating@yahoo.co.uk

Friends birthday card
I must admit that I sourced this card from the internet as I had a complete brain block on Saturday I knew I wanted to use the colours Cajun Craze and Baja Breeze and also the From My Heart stamp set. Thats about as far as I got. So I simply popped From My heart into Google and up came lots of ideas so here is the card.
I've added the Victoria lace and a few gems, I've also used the Holiday Frame embossing folder, just goes to show this frame can be used all year round. This is a C6 card (half the size of A5). I used the colour coach to help me find a colour to complement the Cajun Craze, this is a fantastic tool and well worth the money I highly recommend it,
Come back tomorrow when I will show you a similar card using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

Christmas book tree
Well when I saw the following project I, of course, had to make it,
It's so simple yet very effective and will make a lovely vintage centre piece for the Christmas table, unfortunately you have to destroy an old paperback book to make it :-( . Being a book lover this was the hardest part for me. On the upside I was able to get two trees out of one book, and as my son pointed out I was just turning a tree back into a tree again ;-), no it still didn't make me feel any better either.
If you'd like to have ago yourself the lovely Emily a fellow demonstrator has put a tutorial on her blog here.

WOYWW
So this is what's on my work desk this morning, I'm busy making these little surprise boxes for a craft fair I'm going to. They are quite simple to make but since I've decided to hand stamp them all instead of using papers they are a little time consuming.
The matches? Well they were for testing the lighting of the pumpkin this morning, just to make sure it works you understand lol

Christmas candle stampin
I've been banished to the laptop as number 1 son is using the computer lol Just a quick share of some candles I've made using the wondrous wishes stamp from the autumn/winter catalogue.
I've used soft suede to stamp them in to give them a vintage look, I could have done them in silver as I have some of the platinum shimmer paint, You can sponge this onto your stamps using one of the sponge daubers but I didn't think about it till after which is typical of me lol. I have some of the small candles left so I'll give it a go with those I think and let you know what the results are like ;-)

Birthday wishes
I thought I'd show you my attempt at double stamping, well it should be tripple stampin but I only had two layers lol.
Not bad for a first attempt. I used the new in colours for this. Summer Star fruit and Primrose Petals, I used the Blooming with kindness stamp set and used the Boho Blossoms punch for the little flower, although I thought afterwards that I should have used one of the new in colour dahlias, not to worry I'll know next time. I also made a card using the same colours the other way around;
I really love these cards really simple to do yet very effective, hope you like them.

Christmas Planner
I've just realised I haven't blogged for a week! To be fair I've been trying to divide my time between Scott, my nan (who has now moved in with us) networking, crafting, and house work :-(
Today I have a lovely little Christmas planner to show you, I got this from my upline Monica and it just lush!
I'm sorry for the quality of the pics, it's very dark and dingy here at the moment and I've not got the best of cameras to work with. Anyhoo this is the front cover, which opens out to this,

Cyber crafting; The Project
I was so excited when I saw this project Monica had prepared for us, what was even more mysterious was that she sent us the parts to make it put did not give anything away until the night lol. It was like Christmas!!
so here it is
It's a little Christmas bird house to hang on the tree, you could even fill it with goodies and give it as a present.
It's made using the labels framelits die, some of the Christmas DSP and the Natural Composition DSP. I've used to bird punch to make a little robin to sit on the front of it.

Cyber crafting challenge two
Hi everyone, it's a very windy day here in Yorkshire just the kind of day to blow out all of those cobwebs lol.
Well as promised I'm back with the second challenge of our cyber crafting night. Our second challenge was to use 2 designer series paper and blue. I thought it was hard having lots of things to use, it was even harder with less things lol. This is what I came up with.
I wasn't entirely happy with this as I felt it was rushed, I spend a lot of time usually figuring out where things should go and what should be with what but of course we only had 45 mins!!
For this card I used the bright DSP papers, very vanilla card, crumb cake seam binding ribbon, soft suede ink, I again used the delightful dozen stamp set for the sentiment and the other stamps are from the Clockworks stamp set available in the new catalogue.
Join me again to see the delightful project we made to round off the night

A Little bit of cyber crafting
Yesterday evening a group of us from the lovely Monica's team got together on the internet to do some cyber crafting, We were given two challenges and a project to complete.
Monica issued our first challenge at 6.15pm and we had just 45 minutes to complete it, I only had half an hour as I went into crafters block for the first five minutes lol. The challenge was to make something using 2 colours and one neutral colour, a punch two sets of ribbon e.g bakers twine and ribbon, 2 gems or pearls and a brad.
This is what I came up with
I used the new mitten punch, real red, garden green and very vanilla card, lucky limeade bakers twine, you can just see this at the top of the card behind the mittens. The stamp is from the delightful dozen stamp set and I stamped it in garden green ink I ran the very vanilla card through the petals a plenty embossing folder. The green ribbon on the mittens is the free everyday enchantment ribbon we got some months back with free brads! I then added two gems in the middle of two of the flowers.
We don't as yet know who has won this challenge, pop back tomorrow to see challenge two and I should be able to tell you who the winners are

Halloween Mini Album
I made the little flowers myself and inked them a little using black ink
The sentiment in the middle is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set and I also used the Apothecary Accents Framelits from the new Annual Catalogue to cut it out. The little bat is from the Googly Ghouls stamp set, isn't he cute!
My inside page uses a Stamps from the Toxic Treats stamp set, I've also used the two tags die to make the tags that slot inside the little pocket.
I inked the edges of these using Basic Black and again used a mixture of the Toxic Treats and Googly Ghouls stamps.
My next page holds a little fold out section which is tied with the Striped Satin Ribbon
I used the Scalloped Envelope die for the front of this, tucked behind are two little tags and inside are two little ghosts
I made the ghosts using the owl punch, it's just the little owl turned upside down with his feet cut off, now that sounds very ghoulish lol.
Here's what the fold out sections look like, lots of space to add pics
The next section uses the Jack of all trades stamp set
It folds out for a section to add pics
The next page uses the two tags die once more and the BOOOOO sentiment from the ghostly ghouls stamp set, along with googly eyes.
For the next page I used the Window Frames Dies to make a cauldron and again the two tags die
The tags again used the Googly Ghouls stamp set
The last page uses the the window frames die to make a nice picture frame
I hope you like it

Pop Out Ornament
I've been really busy this week making little items for a craft fair, I have this terrible habit of leaving everything thing till the very last minute lol.
Anyhoo I've made this pop out tree ornament, which can double as a gift tag;
So it starts life like this all folded up and kept in place with a button and then transforms into this;
Sorry about the picture quality but I'm using my dad's old camera. I used the Serene Snowflakes stamp set, Cherry Cobbler ink and I stamped onto very vanilla card. It's very simple to make and there is a you tube tutorial for it here.
If you require any of the items used to make this project please email me.

Punch Art
I really do love punch art I'm just not that great at it :-/ I can get myself into such a mess with it but this little card we made at my stamp class this week was very easy even for me.
Aren't those little penguins cute? They are made using the owl punch, just cut off the owl's ears and use them for flippers, see I told you it was easy!
For this card I used tempting turquoise, whisper white, black and very vanilla card. The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set and punched out using the large oval. I added a little glitter for the snowy hills.
If you would like to order any of the items to make this card please feel free to email me.

Beau Chateau
Well it's an exciting time at the moment if you're a stampin up demonstrator, a lot of us are eagerly awaiting items from the all new singing and dancing seasonal catalogue which will be available to you from the first of September. This is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, being able to play with and test out products before they are launched. Whats even better is if you decide to become a demonstrator this month you can add some of the new products into your starter kit!! If you would like to know more please email me. Watch out for some sneak peeks on my blog.
In the meantime I've been making a set of lovely cushions from the beau château fabric.
Even the other half likes them lol. All I did was simply measure my existing cushions by laying them on the fabric, there's no zip either I just did a fold over on the back for the cushions to slot in, easy! Seeing as they've gone down so well I will be making some more :-)
If you would like to order the beau château fabrics, or you would like to order your copy of the new seasonal catalogue please email me to place your order.

Birthday Dad
It will be my Dad's birthday on Tuesday so this morning I've been busy making him a birthday card, unfortunatly the stamp is non SU as my dad likes darts and Stampin up do not as yet do that kind of stamp. So here is the efforts of my labour;
I used the ever handy colour coach to find out what matched up with crumb cake and as you can see it was Cajun craze, I've used the oval, scalloped oval and the 1 and 3/4 circle punches, and added some matching buttons from the regal's selection. I also brought him a pressie and because I'm very bad at wrapping even the most simple of objects I did this,
Yup just popped a matching belly band round it lol. This stamp is a stampin up stamp and is from the For My Family set.
Here they are both together, we've also brought him some of his favourite tipple, Gordon's Gin lol Hopefully he'll like that.
I'll be entering this into the Simply Stamping Challenge Blog, have you seen it? Why not pop over and join in the fun?
Bye for now

Well it is busting with sunshine this morning here in sunny Doncaster, hope you too are all enjoying some lovely sunny weather for a change. I'd like to say hello to the new followers who have joined my little blog too, nice to see you here :-)
Now today's card is a small diagonal card, which was a lot easier to make than I first thought.
The main stamp is from the Natures Nest set and the little sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set, I've used Baja Breeze, whisper white and Regal rose card, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Garden Green Stampin write makers to colour the image and for the sentiment.
I will be doing a tutorial for this card so if you would like me to send you a copy or would like to order any of the items made to make this card please email me here.

A reason to smile
Well sorry for being so quiet but I've been off on my holidays, we were lucky enough to have Scott's God Mother come along with us this year, which of course Scott loved as he adores her so much.
Here is a pic of them both buried in the sand lol it was the only way we could get them to stay still
Any way lets get on to Stampin Up's August Promotion during August you can get your hands on a very pretty new stamp set called Reason to smile. You can either get it free with an order of £60 or you can buy it for £18.95 in the wood mount option or £14.95 in the clear mount version.
Isn't it lovely and best of all you can get it free!
There is also some lovely things to look forward to in September too, but for the moment my lips are sealed ;-). I must say one of the benefit of becoming a demonstrator is that we get a sneak peak, and play with the products and often get products free ! If you'd like to have a chat to me about becoming a demonstrator or if you would like to place an order and get your free stamp set please email me here .

Fold out card tutorial
I've seen this card quite a few times on blogs etc but have never managed to find instructions on how to make it, luckily I mentioned it to one of my friends, who'd made one so gave me her card so that I could copy it. So here's the card and tutorial
Cut your card 24 x 24cm, save the long piece of cut off card for your belly band. Then score your 24 cm square card at 6cm and 18cm, turn your card round and score again at 6cm and 18cm, this should leave you with one large square in the middle and four smaller squares on all four corners.
Take your Diagonal plate and score at 4 3/4 inches and 7 1/8 inches. Do this on all four sides.
You should now have four triangles coming off the large middle square, fold these triangles into the middle so that they cover the large inside square.
You should now have four small squares facing you, like this;
Fold these along the score lines outwards to the outer corners.
Then all there is for you to do is decorate and add your belly band to keep the card closed,
For my card I've used Bravo Burgundy, Baja Breeze and whisper white card, I've used the pines and poinsettias stamp set and the stampin write pens. Sorry about some of the blurry photography, hope this helps you make this lovely and effective card, if you would like any of the products to make this card please email me your order.
