Wot no Stamps?

No not one at all not one single stamp!.  Instead a rather nice pencil case/ makeup bag made with the stampin up fabric.  Here take a look.
Woooo whoo I love it and it's nice and pink and girly. I made it using the Flirtatious fabrics, for the flower in the middle I used the Flower Daisies Die #2. Take a closer look.
I really am loving it I used a pink button from the subtle collection for the middle of the flower and used two blue buttons from the same collection as fasteners with ribbon to save me having to sew in a zip.
It didn't take me very long to make considering it's all hand sewn.  I'm not usually that handy with a needle and thread but I couldn't face sorting out under the stairs trying to look for the sewing machine!

Well Hope you have enjoyed this.

Perfect Pillow Boxes

There are lots of people who do some sterling work and never get thanked for it, and that's where the idea for my latest crafty gift came from.  The caretakers at our school have been working very hard to keep the paths clear of ice and snow, so I decided to make this little pillow box gift for them.

I have just used the pillow box die to cut out some whisper white card and then to cut out the flirtatious fabric.  I then stuck the fabric to the card, added some paper flowers, a button from the subtles range and tied on a little twine.  The fabric just adds a touch a luxury and texture to the box I think.  I've filled the boxes with some sweeties which I hope they'll all like (theres 3 of them lol). These are a little plain as they are for men, watch this space for a ladies version.

That's all for now

Punch Power

When you become a Demonstrator with stamping up every month you receive a mini magazine called Impressions.  It's a fabulous resource that gives you lots of ideas and inspiration.  You are never left on your own with this company there is always something or someone to help should you hit a crafters block.

In this months impressions they have come up with the idea of using some of the punches as photo corners, what a great idea, I must say that I would never have thought of that, here's my attempt at it.

It's quite effective don't you think?  I love the added effect of the pearl on each corner too.  I really enjoyed making this card and trying something new.  As you can see I used the curly label punch to do these particular photo corners and you can easily use the scallop square, doily or decorative label punches to get a different kind of effect.  I think it shows just how versatile stampin up punches are.  The stamp is from the Every Bunny stamp set.
As you can see I've coloured the balloon egg with Temping Turquoise and Pretty in Pink.  I coloured our little bunny friend in River rock and the basket in Chocolate Chip and Pretty in  Pink.

I also used the sentiment from that stamp set too.  I tried to colour coordinate by using Tempting Turquoise to ink the edges of the Very Vanilla card the image is stamped onto, I used Pretty in Pink to mat and layer, Chocolate Chip for the photo corners and Crumb Cake for the base card.

Well I hope you like it, and sorry for my terrible photography.
