More Candles

I saw these candles on pinterest and instantly fell in love with them, I just had to make my own.

They are very simple to make and I've made them in colours that match my living room.

The flowers are made using the lovely spiral flower die from stampin up. All set on top of a Dollie with some pearls and ribbon added to finish.
Lovely, the originals are here if you want to take a look.

Swallowtail

I'm preparing to do some Christmas tag making today with any luck, The Rayster has managed to do all our Christmas shopping so now it's just down to me to bag and tag it all.  Today you are going to get three for the price of one.  A card, gift tag and gift bag all using the swallow tail stamp.

First here's the card

Butterfly in flight, I Stamped out the swallowtail twice and embossed it with black embossing powder then coloured it using the stampin write markers.  I then stick them together so that I could get the 'in flight' motion.

Here's a closer look.

The grass is from the wetlands stamp set and I just stamped it along the bottom of the card making the grass slightly higher on either end.

Here's the matching gift bag

and here's the tag

I thought I'd seen this technique on you tube but I now can't find it for love nor money, if, dear reader you come across it please let me know so that I can credit it on here.

That's all for now

Flower Shop Birthday

I thought I'd give you a rest from Christmas today and instead show you a birthday card made with the Flower Shop stamp set.

I used Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla on this card, which a bit of that lovely ruffled ribbon.  The sentiment is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and is from the Chalk Talk stamp set

I've used the faceted buttons and an antique brad for the centre of the flowers.

I also added some pearls to the corner for extra 'pop'.  This card is another 6 x 6

Joyful Christmas 2

I was so busy yesterday I forgot to blog!  I have my very good friend Jackie round crafting, we both find it very relaxing and time just gets away with us lol.

Today I'm going to share with you another card using the Joyful Christmas stamp set.

I've used very vanilla card stock and burnished gold.  The poinsettia is stamped onto vellum with the white craft pad ink.  I added a brad which was from the spring mini and popped are large jewel in the middle, I had intended to pop on a Frosted Finishes flower but I couldn't find where I'd put them.  I also stamped part of the poinsettia in the corner in the new silver encore ink

I stamped a corner with with the sentiment that comes with the set again in the silver encore ink.

I then added some jewels to the corners to finish it off.

Joyful Christmas

I love this stamp set, just because you can do so many things with it.  I'm going to show you another 6 x 6 card using this stamp set

That poinsettia is just gorgeous!  Love it.  I stamped it out in versamark then I embossed it using some of the gold embossing powder,  but it works just as well if you stamp in the new gold ink pad if you don't want to go to the trouble of embossing it.  The verse is from More Merry Messages, this stamp set is lovely and has a few longer sentiments that can be used as verses inside your cards.  I've used very vanilla and burnished gold as the main colours on this card.

Here's a closer look at the verse which I stamped in soft suede.

Here's that lovely poinsettia I added a few pearls to the middle of it

Lets have a Pool Party!

I'm very excited as Mr Brown (UPS delivery man) will be arriving today with lots of goodies *whisper* from the new annual catalogue due to be released in July.  Keep your eyes peeled on this blog and I'll share a few things with you, but shhhhhh don't tell ;-)

On to today's card which I totally cased from pinterest you can see that card here.  I was pinning loads of stuff and never using any of it so I've now decided to use it as an inspiration station.

I love this colour combination of soft suede and pool party, the ribbon used here is some that was available during sale a bration and the candy is from my own stash.

The flowers are from the secret garden stamp set, and have been stamped in pool party, I then inked their edges in soft suede with a sponge dauber.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny sentiments stamp set, to get the double effect with the modern label punch you just punch out two, cut the ends off one and stick them to the ends of the other one, I'm not sure that makes sense lol

I liked this colour combo so much I used it on some hostess gifts;

Here's a closer look

I've used the En Francias stamp again, it's just so good as a background stamp, I think that at the moment it is my favorite stamp

Here's a list of the Items I used

Stamps
En Francias
Secret Garden
Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Card
Soft Suede
Very Vanilla

Ink
Pool Party
Soft Suede

Stampin up Accessories
Big Shot
Secret Garden Framelets
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder

Pearls

Again it's a 6 x 6 card, sorry but I really do like that size, If you would like to order any of these items then please email me at debbie72keating@yahoo.co.uk.  Now I'm off to iron school shirts.  Oh the glamour lol

Riding a Penny Farthing

First day of half term so I'm going to have my hands full today keeping Scotty too Hotty entertained.  We've got a day of card making planned, I'm going to get him to make up a batch that he can give out to his friends when their birthdays come around. :-)

Todays card uses the Feeling sentimental stamp set which is FREE during sale a bration when you spend at least £45!  I totally stole this card from fellow demonstrator Julie Kettlewell

I used soft suede and very vanilla .  I've used the new honey comb embossing folder from the spring mini and also used some of the Tea for Two DSP to lift it.  The sentiment is from the teeny tiny sentiments set.

I really like this card. Scotty too Hotty asked me if Granddad used to ride one of those to school lol I think I'll keep that to myself.

Papaya Collage Part Two

So heres the next lot of cards I promised from the tutorial which you can buy from Jenny Moor

This is the first of three cards, on this one Jenny had used the new in colour DSP because I didn't have any I instead used the primrose petals card and embossed it using the Vintage Wallpaper folder.

I love this card it's just so pretty lets have a look inside

The 'ghosting of the leaves is just by just stamping twice more without re-inking.

This is the last card from the selection I hope you like them I think they are very pretty and although I've stamped happy birthday on all of mine they could also be used as get well cards, anniversary or mothers days cards.

If you would like to order any of the items to make these cards please email me

Papaya Collage Stamp set

At Last the snow has gone!! All that snow we had on Saturday night, what surprise to wake up Sunday morning to find it all gone.

I'm going to show you some cards from the Papaya Collage stamp set, now I got these cards from a tutorial that you can buy from Jenny Moors, she does quite a lot of tutorials so it's well worth popping over to her blog to take a look. Some of the cards also use the Memorable moments stamp set.  I've tweeked the ones I've done to suit my purposes and instead of using DSP I've used card that I've embossed using the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.

The first card is a gate fold as you can see, on the tutorial it has 50th where I have added the butterfly lets have a look inside

Isn't it just lovely?  It uses Soft Suede, Raspberry Ripple, Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals  card, Inks used are Soft Suede, Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive and Primrose Petals.

Here is the next card again it uses Soft suede, Very vanilla, Raspberry Ripple card and Soft Suede, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Olive inks

Heres a look inside,

I'll pop back tomorrow with the rest of the cards from this set, please feel free to email me if you wish to order any of the items used to make these cards.

Pop Out Ornament

I've been really busy this week making little items for a craft fair, I have this terrible habit of leaving everything thing till the very last minute lol.

Anyhoo I've made this pop out tree ornament, which can double as a gift tag;

So it starts life like this all folded up and kept in place with a button and then transforms into this;

Sorry about the picture quality but I'm using my dad's old camera.  I used the Serene Snowflakes stamp set, Cherry Cobbler ink and I stamped onto very vanilla card.  It's very simple to make and there is a you tube tutorial for it here.

If you require any of the items used to make this project please email me.

Punch Art

I really do love punch art I'm just not that great at it :-/ I can get myself into such a mess with it but this little card we made at my stamp class this week was very easy even for me.

Aren't those little penguins cute? They are made using the owl punch, just cut off the owl's ears and use them for flippers, see I told you it was easy!

For this card I used tempting turquoise, whisper white, black and very vanilla card.  The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set and punched out using the large oval.  I added a little glitter for the snowy hills.

If you would like to order any of the items to make this card please feel free to email me.
