WOYWW

So this is what's on my work desk this morning, I'm busy making these little surprise boxes for a craft fair I'm going to.  They are quite simple to make but since I've decided to hand stamp them all instead of using papers they are a little time consuming.

The matches? Well they were for testing the lighting of the pumpkin this morning, just to make sure it works you understand lol

Christmas candle stampin

I've been banished to the laptop as number 1 son is using the computer lol Just a quick share of some candles I've made using the wondrous wishes stamp from the autumn/winter catalogue.

I've used soft suede to stamp them in to give them a vintage look, I could have done them in silver as I have some of the platinum shimmer paint,  You can sponge this onto your stamps using one of the sponge daubers but I didn't think about it till after which is typical of me lol.  I have some of the small candles left so I'll give it a go with those I think and let you know what the results are like ;-)

Birthday wishes

I thought I'd show you my attempt at double stamping, well it should be tripple stampin but I only had two layers lol.

Not bad for a first attempt.  I used the new in colours for this.  Summer Star fruit and Primrose Petals, I used the Blooming with kindness stamp set and used the Boho Blossoms punch for the little flower, although I thought afterwards that I should have used one of the new in colour dahlias, not to worry I'll know next time. I also made a card using the same colours the other way around;

I really love these cards really simple to do yet very effective, hope you like them.

Christmas Planner

I've just realised I haven't blogged for a week!  To be fair I've been trying to divide my time between Scott, my nan (who has now moved in with us) networking, crafting, and house work :-(

Today I have a lovely little Christmas planner to show you, I got this from my upline Monica and it just lush!

I'm sorry for the quality of the pics, it's very dark and dingy here at the moment and I've not got the best of cameras to work with.  Anyhoo this is the front cover, which opens out to this,

It's made using the Snowflake Season Simply Scrappin Layout Kit from the Autumn/Winter seasonal Catalogue.  This kit is to die for!

Time to go and practice at some photography I think ;-)

Cyber crafting; The Project

I was so excited when I saw this project Monica had prepared for us, what was even more mysterious was that she sent us the parts to make it put did not give anything away until the night lol.  It was like Christmas!!

so here it is

It's a little Christmas bird house to hang on the tree, you could even fill it with goodies and give it as a present.
It's made using the labels framelits die, some of the Christmas DSP and the Natural Composition DSP.  I've used to bird punch to make a little robin to sit on the front of it.

Cyber crafting challenge two

Hi everyone, it's a very windy day here in Yorkshire just the kind of day to blow out all of those cobwebs lol.

Well as promised I'm back with the second challenge of our cyber crafting night.  Our second challenge was to use 2 designer series paper and blue.  I thought it was hard having lots of things to use, it was even harder with less things lol.  This is what I came up with.

I wasn't entirely happy with this as I felt it was rushed, I spend a lot of time usually figuring out where things should go and what should be with what but of course we only had 45 mins!!

For this card I used the bright DSP papers, very vanilla card, crumb cake seam binding ribbon, soft suede ink, I again used the delightful dozen stamp set for the sentiment and the other stamps are from the  Clockworks stamp set available in the new catalogue.

Join me again to see the delightful project we made to round off the night

A Little bit of cyber crafting

Yesterday evening a group of us from the lovely Monica's team got together on the internet to do some cyber crafting, We were given two challenges and a project to complete.

Monica issued our first challenge at 6.15pm and we had just 45 minutes to complete it, I only had half an hour as I went into crafters block for the first five minutes lol.  The challenge was to make something using 2 colours and one neutral colour, a punch two sets of ribbon e.g bakers twine and ribbon, 2 gems or pearls and a brad.

This is what I came up with

I used the new mitten punch, real red, garden green and very vanilla card, lucky limeade bakers twine, you can just see this at the top of the card behind the mittens.  The stamp is from the delightful dozen stamp set and I stamped it in garden green ink I ran the very vanilla card through the petals a plenty embossing folder.  The green ribbon on the mittens is the free everyday enchantment ribbon we got some months back with free brads! I then added two gems in the middle of two of the flowers.

We don't as yet know who has won this challenge, pop back tomorrow to see challenge two and I should be able to tell you who the winners are

Halloween Mini Album

I'm terrible for keeping papers and not using them because they're 'too nice' well now I've fallen fowl to it as so to speak. I've a bunch of Halloween papers that Stampin Up have now discontinued so I decided to use them to make a Halloween mini album.  Here's the front page;

I made the little flowers myself and inked them a little using black ink

The sentiment in the middle is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set and I also used the Apothecary Accents Framelits from the new Annual Catalogue to cut it out. The little bat is from the Googly Ghouls stamp set, isn't he cute!

My inside page uses a Stamps from the Toxic Treats stamp set, I've also used the two tags die to make the tags that slot inside the little pocket.

I inked the edges of these using Basic Black and again used a mixture of the Toxic Treats and Googly Ghouls stamps.

My next page holds a little fold out section which is tied with the  Striped Satin Ribbon

I used the Scalloped Envelope die for the front of this, tucked behind are two little tags and inside are two little ghosts

I made the ghosts using the owl punch, it's just the little owl turned upside down with his feet cut off, now that sounds very ghoulish lol.

Here's what the fold out sections look like, lots of space to add pics

The next section uses the Jack of all trades stamp set

It folds out for a section to add pics

The next page uses the two tags die once more and the  BOOOOO sentiment from the ghostly ghouls stamp set, along with googly eyes.

For the next page I used the Window Frames Dies to make a cauldron and again the two tags die

The tags again used the Googly Ghouls stamp set

The last page uses the the window frames die to make a nice picture frame

I hope you like it

A Christmas Card

Well I am buzzing with excitement over this new catalogue I can tell you, lol Have you had a chance to have a look yet?  Just click here I promise you, you won't be disappointed!

I thought I'd share the following card with you, this is made with the new In Colours and items from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. I used this card as a make and take at a recent workshop.

Sorry about the photo quality as it was taken on my phone, I've used the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle, in the bundle you get the stamps and the dies! Saving you money, thats what we like to hear, I've also used the snowflake die which you can just see at the side of the card, the Holiday Frame embossing folder. The colours used are midnight muse, and baja breeze.

Hope you like it
