Wondrous Wreath

Hello Readers

It's looking a bit sunny today in deepest darkest Yorkshire after yesterdays full day of rain.  I'm also off to get some new glasses so my projects should now be even better because I'll be able to see them lol.

Today I want to share with you a card made with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and framelets.  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  I always have these good intentions of starting them early then end up rushing them all at the very last minute.

So onto today's card

I've gone with traditional colours on this one, but the wreath is so versatile, you know from yesterday that I did this wreath in autumnal colours, I've also see it in light blues and greys and it looks stunning.

Here's a closer look, I adore that Filigree frame embossing folder, I can see me using it alot.

Well I hope you like today's offering and if you would like to purchase any of the items used to make this card please click on the links below.

Valentino Rossi

Trying to get this out before we go off on the school run. We had a break in the rain here yesterday so fingers crossed better weather is on the way. Can't wait theres nothing I like better than crafting in the garden.

Now on to today's offering

I know it's not strictly a stampin up card, but my brief was to make a leaving card for our caretaker at work. Now I was lucky enough to have some insider knowledge as I know that he likes moto GP. We are both fans and often discuss the weekends races during the moto gp season.

The rider on the card is supposed to be Valentino Rossi. He's been Moto GP Champion 6 times so is a very popular rider. His bike in the picture is a Ducati an Italian made bike. However Rossi currently rides for Yamaha a Japanese company.

So now after all that info about Moto Gp here's the colours I used on the card, Whisper White, Real Red, and Basic Black.

Hope you like this little excursion away from solely stampin up

Father Christmas

Well the excitement is rising in our house as we eagerly await the arrival of old Mr Claus. So I thought I'd show you the following card with the man himself on.

As used real red card, with whisper white and just a hint of the brushed gold card.  The stamp sets are more merry messages for the sentiment and Best of Christmas for the Santa Claus stamp.  I've inked the edges of the Santa Claus image with soft suede to give it a bit of a vintage feel.

I made these cards for Scotty Too Hotty to give to his friends, I hope you like them as much as they did, if you would like any of the items used to make this project please click on the pictures below which will take you directly to that item in my online store.

Star of wonder!

First I must apologize for the picture as I was struggling to get some decent light to take the thing.  Today's offering uses one of the individual stamps that you can now get from stampin up, the one I chose is the Christmas Star, it's quite a large stamp and lends itself beautifully to my favorite size card 6 x 6.

I stamped out the Christmas Star in red and used the flourish from the everything Eleanor stamp set as some greenery.  You can't really see in the picture but I added some pearls of different sizes so that this would look like mistletoe.  I've matted and layered using some of the burnished gold card on to the red of my card base, and of course stamped onto whisper white.  What you also can't see well in the picture is that I cut out each star and scored it along the white lines so that it would stand up a little from the card base.

Hope you like it, if you would like any of the products used to make this card please click the pictures below which will take you directly to that item in my shop.

Joyful Christmas

I love this stamp set, just because you can do so many things with it.  I'm going to show you another 6 x 6 card using this stamp set

That poinsettia is just gorgeous!  Love it.  I stamped it out in versamark then I embossed it using some of the gold embossing powder,  but it works just as well if you stamp in the new gold ink pad if you don't want to go to the trouble of embossing it.  The verse is from More Merry Messages, this stamp set is lovely and has a few longer sentiments that can be used as verses inside your cards.  I've used very vanilla and burnished gold as the main colours on this card.

Here's a closer look at the verse which I stamped in soft suede.

Here's that lovely poinsettia I added a few pearls to the middle of it

Best Teacher

This is a card I've made for Scott's teacher to say thank you for her work over the past year, I totally stole from the lovely Julie Kettlewell

And a messy craft table to boot lol.  There is a wood-grain stamp but as I don't have it I just drew on the wood-grain with one of the stampin write markers.

I've used a little pool party, calypso coral and tempting turquoise ribbons at either end of the little banner then punched out two hearts in real red using the small heart then punched out the petite curly label in tempting turquoise, melon mambo, punkin pie and daffodil delight.  The sentiment is from the For my family stamp set which has now sadly been retired :-(

My son is a big fan of Angry Birds, and it's his birthday on Saturday, He's having an angry birds cake made by the wonderful Charlotte who runs and owns The Cherry Blossom Bakery, go look at some of her wonderful cakes, look good and taste divine.

So to match his cake I thought I'd try my hand at making an angry birds card and here are the results

Not too bad I don't think lol.  You can get instructions on how to make this card here

Sale a bration sneak peek 3

Hope you are all well, here is my final offering from the feeling sentimental stamp set, available during the sale a bration period.

I think out of the set that this is my favourite stamp.  Again I've used whisper white, raspberry ripple and crumb cake card, I've again used the polka dot DSP and stamped the image and sentiment in real red.  Of course I added some bling to the corner of the card.  Once again this is a six by six card.

Right I'm off now to try and make an angry birds card for my son who will be 9! (I can hardly believe how fast time has gone by) on Saturday.
