Camping jolly Holiday

Hello Dear Readers

Back again!  I hope today finds you all well. Today I want to share with you a card I made for my son's Scout Leaders.  These unsung heros put in so much work with the children, giving up their own time willingly and without pay, whats more they also take them away for a weekend camping! Very exciting for the children, relaxing for parents, but a lot of hard work for those lovely leaders!

So after taking Scotty too Hotty away for a weekend and all the organizing and planning that must have gone into that, the least I could do was send a little thank you card.  This card uses the Lovely as a tree and The great outdoors stamps sets, perfect for making camp related thank yous and uses Tempting Turquoise and whisper white card.  I used spectrum noir pens to colour in the images.

Banners Framelets

Hi there I hope you are all well. Hope that Sahara sand didn't bother you too much hopefully the weather will start being nice and spring like now. lol I know I won't hold my breath for that!

Today I'm going to share with you a banner I made for Scotty too Hotty's door, he's been after a door plaque with his name on for a while but I thought this was better, and it gave me a chance to use my new banner framelets.

He's well pleased with it I must say I used the now retired Make a monster set.
Bit of an angry looking monster here lol.
I also added a tardis *whisper* it's the telephone stamp from the feeling sentimental set.  It was all done in basic black and tempting turquoise.

I'm Late! I'm Late! For a very important date!

I did feel very much like the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland today.  I had to meet my little brother in town for 9am after dropping scotty too hotty off at school at 8.30, problem being the traffic from my village to town in a morning is akin to being sat in a car park!!  I did make it though and I'm here to share another Christmas card with you.

This card uses the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I brought this set after seeing a really gorgeous card made with it.  Needless to say I didn't get round to making 'that' card and I've only used it once before making this one!!! I know terrible!!  This card was quite simple to make and there is a you tube tutorial for it here

I've tried to get the sparkle on the trees in this shot, I embossed them using some holographic embossing powder I have, it gives a real sparkle to the trees.  I don't think in the video she included a moon but this is simply done by just punching out a circle in scrap card and using it as a mask.

I finished the card off with one of those fabulous Frosted Finshes.  I must admit to not wanting to use these lol, I've made a batch of these cards but on the others I've added a sliver bow.  The sentiment on the card is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

Best Teacher

This is a card I've made for Scott's teacher to say thank you for her work over the past year, I totally stole from the lovely Julie Kettlewell

And a messy craft table to boot lol.  There is a wood-grain stamp but as I don't have it I just drew on the wood-grain with one of the stampin write markers.

I've used a little pool party, calypso coral and tempting turquoise ribbons at either end of the little banner then punched out two hearts in real red using the small heart then punched out the petite curly label in tempting turquoise, melon mambo, punkin pie and daffodil delight.  The sentiment is from the For my family stamp set which has now sadly been retired :-(

A Man's View

Lots of excitement in our household over the last week as I brought a new car!! It has Automatic windscreen wipers and lights!!! Is it very sad that I'm so excited about that? lol heres a little pic

Photo: New car!!!!! With lots of shiney buttons!!!!!

Just look at the colour, tempting turquoise, I loves it!  I've named her Clara.

Right now back to business I'm going to show another card I got in the kit from Bekka, I think this particular card would be perfect as a mans card.

I've used the honeycomb embossing folder on this, it also uses chocolate chip, tempting turquoise and some of the polka dot dsp, the sentiment is from the perfectly penned set, which also comes in the kit from Bekka I know that she is still offering these so if you would like one email her at bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Some more extcting news for you, stampin up is having a colour refresh, here are the new colours, some as you will see are previous In Colour options

Spring!!

Where is it? Where has Spring Gone?  Currently we have sleet and it's mighty cold.  Brrrrr

So I guess I'll have to bring you spring by way of a card

Just looks at my mucky grid paper!!! lol don't want to throw it though as I've made notes on it.  What I should do is get a note book.  Well as you can see I've used the Papillon Potpourri  set for this card, the colour used are, so saffron, midnight muse, tempting turquoise, so many colours and not enough time. lol

Heres the inside

Don't you feel so much more spring like now lol.

Bright Orange Ball of Light!!

Yes!  We've had a strange sighting here in deepest darkest Yorkshire.  A great big orange ball of light in the sky appeared yesterday, reliable sources say this is called The Sun!  And it seems to have surfaced today too!!lol

I hope you've had some sunshine where you are, to my readers abroad, England is not known for it's lovely sunny weather so I for one tend to get a bit giddy when the sun decides to surface.

Today's card is one I made for the card holder

Just look at my sparkly butterflies!  I used the crystal effects and whilst it was still wet sprinkled some dazzling diamonds on top.  This card was quite simple to make but very lovely to look at.

Punch Art

I really do love punch art I'm just not that great at it :-/ I can get myself into such a mess with it but this little card we made at my stamp class this week was very easy even for me.

Aren't those little penguins cute? They are made using the owl punch, just cut off the owl's ears and use them for flippers, see I told you it was easy!

For this card I used tempting turquoise, whisper white, black and very vanilla card.  The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations stamp set and punched out using the large oval.  I added a little glitter for the snowy hills.

If you would like to order any of the items to make this card please feel free to email me.
