Hopeful Thoughts

The hopeful thoughts stamp set is a bit of a sympathy/thinking of you, stamp set, but I thought the flourish from it would be nice on a birthday or mothers day card.  With that in mind here's the card;
I love that colour combination of crumb cake and soft sky.
Here's what I used;
Hopeful Thoughts Stamp set
Framed Tulips embossing folder
Teeny Tiny sentiments stamp set
Crumb cake card and ink
Soft sky card and ink
Very Vanilla Card
Pearls
Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack
Large Oval punch
Decorative label punch

Start with a c6 card base (A5 folded in half) in crumb cake
Cut two pieces of soft sky card measuring 51/4 x 4"
Stick one of these to the inside of your base card
Emboss the other with the framed tulips embossing folder and add this to the front of your base card
Cut a piece of crumb cake measuring 41/4" x 3", glue this to the front of your base card
Cut a piece of very vanilla card measuring 4" x 23/4" on this stamp the flourish from the hopeful thoughts stamp set in crumb cake.  Using the Itty Bitty punch pack, punch out some flowers in soft sky and add these to your flourish.
Place pearls into the flower centers
Glue this to the front of your base card and add a sentiment of your choice.
Lovely.

Get Well Card

Well dear readers I'm sorry I've been really terrible at updating my blog trying to get back into the swing of things after Christmas, and also my Dad's been poorly.

With that last thought in mind hears the get well card that I made him

It's made using soft sky and whisper white card staock, a lovely 6 x 6 card

The tree is from, the Lovely As A Tree stamp set and coloured using garden green and soft suede stampin write makers.

The sentiment is cut out using the oval framelets and is from the hopeful thoughts stamp set.

Hope you like todays offering

Bright Orange Ball of Light!!

Yes!  We've had a strange sighting here in deepest darkest Yorkshire.  A great big orange ball of light in the sky appeared yesterday, reliable sources say this is called The Sun!  And it seems to have surfaced today too!!lol

I hope you've had some sunshine where you are, to my readers abroad, England is not known for it's lovely sunny weather so I for one tend to get a bit giddy when the sun decides to surface.

Today's card is one I made for the card holder

Just look at my sparkly butterflies!  I used the crystal effects and whilst it was still wet sprinkled some dazzling diamonds on top.  This card was quite simple to make but very lovely to look at.
