Father Christmas

Well the excitement is rising in our house as we eagerly await the arrival of old Mr Claus. So I thought I'd show you the following card with the man himself on.

As used real red card, with whisper white and just a hint of the brushed gold card.  The stamp sets are more merry messages for the sentiment and Best of Christmas for the Santa Claus stamp.  I've inked the edges of the Santa Claus image with soft suede to give it a bit of a vintage feel.

I made these cards for Scotty Too Hotty to give to his friends, I hope you like them as much as they did, if you would like any of the items used to make this project please click on the pictures below which will take you directly to that item in my online store.

Festive Flurry Treat Box

We are back to Christmas again here and I have a little treat box used making the tag a box bundle.

If you look closely you can see that I've embossed the plastic covering with the northern flurry embossing folder

I also used the festive flurry stamps and dies for this I think they make such a lovely topper especially when they are finished off with one of the frosted finishes .

To the bottom of the box I added some of the Winter frost papers and a greeting from the More Merry messages stamp set.  All Items used are listed below.

If you would like like any of the items used to make this box just click on the pictures below which will take you directly to my online shop and to the product you have clicked on

Lovely as a Tree #3

Hope you all had a great weekend, did you make any cards for world card making day?  It was a very exciting day on Saturday and some fellow demonstrators as it was the launch of our challenge page on facebook.  Why don't you go over and have a look the page is here and join in the fun.

Now for today's card, it again uses the Lovely as a tree stamp set

I've used the heat and stick again on this one with dazzling diamonds.  The tree is stamped in garden green. Here's a closer look

I think it's very effective, although I did get covered in glitter in the process and I resembled a 70's disco diva by the time I was finished lol.

The Sentiment is from more merry messages and I've added a few jewels to the corner for a bit of extra pop!

Another Lovely as a tree

It's raining today in deepest darkest Yorkshire and looking pretty glum. Today I'm going to share with you another lovely as a tree Christmas card.  I love this stamp set!

To make this card I stamped out the trees in always artichoke, then used the stamp a jig to re-stamped them using versamark, I then covered the trees in Heat and stick powder, heated it up and added dazzling diamonds and reheated it.

I added a frosted finish to the corner.  The sentiment is also stamped in Always Artichoke and is from the more merry messages stamp set.  A very simple card to do yet very effective.

I'm Late! I'm Late! For a very important date!

I did feel very much like the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland today.  I had to meet my little brother in town for 9am after dropping scotty too hotty off at school at 8.30, problem being the traffic from my village to town in a morning is akin to being sat in a car park!!  I did make it though and I'm here to share another Christmas card with you.

This card uses the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I brought this set after seeing a really gorgeous card made with it.  Needless to say I didn't get round to making 'that' card and I've only used it once before making this one!!! I know terrible!!  This card was quite simple to make and there is a you tube tutorial for it here

I've tried to get the sparkle on the trees in this shot, I embossed them using some holographic embossing powder I have, it gives a real sparkle to the trees.  I don't think in the video she included a moon but this is simply done by just punching out a circle in scrap card and using it as a mask.

I finished the card off with one of those fabulous Frosted Finshes.  I must admit to not wanting to use these lol, I've made a batch of these cards but on the others I've added a sliver bow.  The sentiment on the card is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.

Joyful Christmas

I love this stamp set, just because you can do so many things with it.  I'm going to show you another 6 x 6 card using this stamp set

That poinsettia is just gorgeous!  Love it.  I stamped it out in versamark then I embossed it using some of the gold embossing powder,  but it works just as well if you stamp in the new gold ink pad if you don't want to go to the trouble of embossing it.  The verse is from More Merry Messages, this stamp set is lovely and has a few longer sentiments that can be used as verses inside your cards.  I've used very vanilla and burnished gold as the main colours on this card.

Here's a closer look at the verse which I stamped in soft suede.

Here's that lovely poinsettia I added a few pearls to the middle of it
