Thinlets Christmas

My we've had a very busy week here in the Keating household.  It was half term last week here so Scott and I set about making little treat boxes to pack sweeties into for the trick or treaters.  It was also my birthday on saturday (21 again lol) and Scott made me a lovely voucher booklet for hugs and kisses.

Anyhoo enough of me and onto todays make which again uses the thinlets die and the best of Christmas stamp set.

I do believe that i am quite addicted to these,  I've also used the winter frost papers on this card too

I finished it off with one of the frosted finishes just love these but I don't ever want to used them! They are just too nice.

Christmas Gift Box

Today I'm going to share with you a lovely little gift box which I cased from the very lovely Julie Kettlewell

I've made it from the Winter Frost papers, the box is made from a single sheet of 12 x 12.  The belly band is made from vellum and stamped in silver with the Festive Flurry stamps.  I've then added the same stamp but this time stamped in pool party then with a smaller snowflake on top stamped in silver,  The sentiment is from Tags 4 you stamp set.

Inside it's just big enough to fit a small gift, I've added a pack of stamping up buttons to mine.

Best of all they store flat, so you can make up a lot and store them quite easily until you need them.

A Spot of Christmas

Yes we were feeling a bit Christmasy in the Keating household this week with the cold, I've finally had to give in and put the heating on!! Not good.

So here's my little bit of Christmas to show you

I made this using the lovely new Festive Flurry stamps and framelets from the autumn/winter catalogue, even better you can buy these as part of a bundle and save money!!  I also used the new sliver encore ink pad, but I'm thinking I should have added some glitter to that top snowflake, what do you think?

The sentiment is from the teeny tiny sentiments stamp set and as you can see I've also used some of that lovely sliver glimmer paper.  The card by the way is a 6 x 6 inch.

More best of flowers

Well Scotty too Hotty has his Iron man socks on today, so watch out at school ;-)  Today's card is using a stamp from the best of flowers stamp set, and I got the idea for the card from the 'Ideas' tab on my website, there is a whole bunch of projects there for you to try so why not pop on over if you're stuck for inspiration.

The card uses the two tag die, soon to be retired and the daisy from the best of flowers stamp set.

I've used Daffodil Delight and pool party and popped some pearls in the middle of the daisy to add some pop

I also popped a daisy on the inside.

Another day another Everything Eleanor

Well the rain has arrived here in Yorkshire, I thought this might get rid of some of that mugginess that's been hanging around but alas it has not.

Today I've got a couple of things to show you using the everything Eleanor stamp set again.  I must admit this is a favorite of mine and I'm glad to say it's making an appearance in the new Annual Catalogue.

I've used pool party and soft seude again on this one, I've layered up the flowers by stampin then cutting out the large and medium flowers from the set, again I've used the En Francias stamp as a background and the sentiment is from the Bring on the cake stamp set.  I've added a few pearls to the center of the flowers and too the top right hand side corner.

I also made some of these little note books in the same way

Scotty too hotty took one of these into school for his girlfriend lol.

Everything Eleanor

Bit later posting today as I've been watching CSI that I sky + last night.  I'm a great fan of Sky + mostly because I have a terrible habit of falling to sleep when watching stuff lol.  This way I don't miss anything.

So todays little offering uses the Everything Eleanor stamp set.  This is an idea I totally cased from Pinterest.

It's just a pack of 4 card toppers very simple to make yet very effective, lets go through whats been used.

This is using the two tags die , I've stamped the front of the tag with the flourish from the everything Eleanor set and used two of the flowers, I've then punched out an oval and a scalloped oval and popped on the sentiment.

This one uses the lovely Designer Rosette die, then it was just a case of inking the edges with pool party and popping on the sentiment which the use of punch circles and a scalloped circle

This topper uses the oval punches and the smallest flower from the stamp set, I've also added some leaves from the bird builder punch

Then last of all is this little offering, the base of it is from the stamp set, stamped in pool party then over stamped in soft suede with the flourish, I've also added a couple of pearls.

I added this piece of card to the top of the pack to just finish it off

Lets have a Pool Party!

I'm very excited as Mr Brown (UPS delivery man) will be arriving today with lots of goodies *whisper* from the new annual catalogue due to be released in July.  Keep your eyes peeled on this blog and I'll share a few things with you, but shhhhhh don't tell ;-)

On to today's card which I totally cased from pinterest you can see that card here.  I was pinning loads of stuff and never using any of it so I've now decided to use it as an inspiration station.

I love this colour combination of soft suede and pool party, the ribbon used here is some that was available during sale a bration and the candy is from my own stash.

The flowers are from the secret garden stamp set, and have been stamped in pool party, I then inked their edges in soft suede with a sponge dauber.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny sentiments stamp set, to get the double effect with the modern label punch you just punch out two, cut the ends off one and stick them to the ends of the other one, I'm not sure that makes sense lol

I liked this colour combo so much I used it on some hostess gifts;

Here's a closer look

I've used the En Francias stamp again, it's just so good as a background stamp, I think that at the moment it is my favorite stamp

Here's a list of the Items I used

Stamps

Teeny Tiny Thank you

I hope you are all well dear readers, today I want to share with you one of the make and takes we were given at the Telford training.

It's a lovely little card holder made with the two tag die.  The flower was made with the fancy flower punch and has one of the incolour Delilahs as a center.

The small cards where stamped using the clockworks stamp set and the teeny tiny sentiments, and me being me I had to make envelopes to go with them.

I made the envelopes using the tea for two papers,

Challenge

Well what lovely weather we've been having, makes a change lol Today I'm going to show you two tags I made for a challenge being run by fellow demonstrator Anthony Warwood, you can join in the fun here The chanllenge this month is to create something using calypso coral, pool party and gumball green, now I had made a card to start with but somehow it went missing before I had chance to photograph it :-( so I started again and made these tags ;

I've made them using the two tags die, First Edition DSP, Papillion Pot-pourri stamp set,  the butterfly punches and of course I've added some bling and pearls .

The flowers where made using a die I have, before I rolled them into a flower I inked the edges with pool party and calypso coral ink.  The leaves are of course gumball green.

And heres the butterfly, for the larger butter fly I simply stamped on to whisper white card stock and punched it out, the smaller butterfly was stamped on to the first edition papers then punched out.  and I added some bling to the butter fly.  I also inked around the edge of the first edition papers on the tag and the tag itself as you can just about see in the picture above. The ribbon used was free during Saleabration! I really love these tags and made a few for gifts, hope you like them too.

If you'd like any of the items you see here please email me your order debbie72keating@yahoo.co.uk

A Very Crafty Day

It was a very crafty day yesterday for Scott and I.  His Auntie gave him a till roll and asked him if he could write a really long story on it.  So he's on the job, he has started with the story of the three little pigs and was really disappointed yesterday when he's not finished it when it was time to go home.  He'll get to finish it today hopefully.

Meanwhile I was stamping candles again.  I just love the effect you get.

I've used the Blooming marvellous stamp set for these candles which is free during sale abration,  The inks used are so saffron, pool party and midnight muse.  These are very easy to make, you just stamp your design onto tissue paper, then place the tissue paper on to the candle, then wrap some grease proof paper tightly around the candle and heat up the stamped design with your heat gun, you can see the tissue paper 'turn' as it melts into the candle.  Why not give it a go?

Birthday gift box

Well it's a very exciting day for me today, I have managed to obtain a studio with the Artfuel group and today they have their grand opening. This means that the public can come for a look around, meet the artists and find out about workshops and exhibitions that are going to be held there. Eventually they are hoping to open a little cafe there and there is already a shop where you can buy some of the artists work. It's from 2 to 8pm today so if you're in Doncaster why not pop along, Artfuel is situated in Portland Place, Portland Place is accessed from the roundabout on Trafford Way close to the train station. Turn onto Cleveland Street, then left onto Duke Street & left again through the archway into Spring Gardens and straight on towards the large public car park on the corner of Trafford Way. Artfuel is in the large brick building with towers to the right of the car park.

So on to Tina's gift box, which is just one of stampin up's kraft gift boxes decorated up.
I've used the same colour combo that I used on the card of midnight muse, so saffron and pool party, I've also used some of the silver glimmer paper to add a bit of bling and popped on two pool party buttons which are free as part of sale-a-bration if you spend £45, that I've used as a fastener I filled it full of jelly babies lol and there were also two candy watches to help Tina with her time keeping.

Dreams, sick children, new glasses and another birthday!

Well what a day yesterday, I was feeling much more like myself only to have scotty too hotty come down with the dreaded lurgie.  However it did give him time to make a valentines card for his girlfriend lol.   I also had to pick up my new glasses yesterday which are varifocals  They are making me feel very sick, which is apparently normal until I get used to them.  I have to remember to 'point my nose' to what I'm looking at rather than just moving my eyes.  And (you should never ever start a sentence with and lol) to top all this off I had a dream that David Cameron stole all my punches.  The Great Raymundo found this hilarious and asked me if I was trying to sign Mr Cameron up as a demonstrator.

Anyhoo on to the card.  I made this for my friend Tina,  she is the one friend who I can count on to get me into trouble ;) lots of it.  If there is a 'Thick of it' to be in it's a good bet it'll be me and Tina and it was her birthday last Friday.

I've used a combination of Pool Party, Midnight Muse and So Saffron card and ink.  I've used the Teeny Tiny sentiments Stamp set and the Bloomin Marvelous stamp set which you can get FREE! with an order of just £45 during the Sale-a-bration period. Punches I've used are the scalloped circle and circle, Scallop Trim Border, word window and Modern Label.

Next time I'll show you the gift box I made for her.  If you would like any of the items I used to make this card please email me.

Not too bad I don't think lol.  You can get instructions on how to make this card here

I'll be back soon with some more Sale a bration sneak peeks.
