So Grateful

Hi there hope you are all well on this fine Monday morning, it's my 'proper job' work day today, where I go into school and try and help the teachers educate unruly teenagers lol.

Today on the blog I have a technique tutorial for you using embossing powders and a bit of inking.  It's a resist technique which is a lot easier than what it looks. 

So here's the card we're going to make;

You will need;
Pistachio pudding card and ink
Whisper white card
Basic Black card and ink
Clear embossing powder
Rhinestones
Clear Versamark pad
Sponge daubers
En Francias stamp

Start with a 6x6 base card in pistachio pudding, cut 2 pieces of basic black 5 3/4" square, one whisper white 5 1/2" square and a piece of whisper white 4 1/2" square.

Matt and layer the 51/2" square of whisper white onto one of your basic black squares and glue this to the inside of your card.

Using the En Francias stamp.  Stamp in basic black ink onto your 4 1/2" square of card.

Using your versamark pad. stamp out the largest flower from the So Grateful stamp set into the middle of your 4 1/2" square of white card.  Cover this with clear embossing powder and heat emboss.

Using a sponge dauber, ink it up with pistachio pudding ink.  Start slowly in circular motions inking your card.  Work your way slowly across your card until the whole thing is inked and your main image is revealed.

Layer your inked image on to your black card and add this to the frount of your base card.  Add some rhinestones to the top left hand corner and a sentiment if you wish.

Best of Butterflies

Hi there Dear readers, are you nearly ready for Christmas?  I'm going to give you a bit of a break from all that Christmas stuff and instead share a thank you card I made with you.

It is I'm afraid very product heavy, it uses the best of butterflies stamp set, Flowering Flourishes and the En Francias.  And a bit of retired ribbon from last year.

As you can see I've added quite a few pearls to this master piece lol, although I wish now that I had cut out the butterfly to make it stand out more, The flowering flourishes and the en francias were stamped in smoky slate and the butterfly in basic grey.

Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly

The sun came out yesterday for all of five minutes lol.  Ah well better get used to autumn now then.  Today I'm going to share with you a lavender bag, I got the idea for it from my lovely upline Monica

It's just one of the new mini muslin bags stamped with the en Francias stamp in gold and one of the butterfly is from the best of butterflies stamp set.

The butterfly is stamped in basic grey, I stamped this first them masked it and stamped with the en francias stamp/

I finished it off with some crotchet trim and one of those lovely frosted Finshes.

Stippled Blossoms Birthday

I thought I'd give you a rest from Christmas today and instead share with you a birthday card made with the stippled blossom stamp set

This is a 6 x 6 card made using elegant eggplant, the flowers were stamped in wisteria wonder and elegant egg plant. As you can see I've used quite a few layers on this card.  I've embossed one layer using the petals a plenty embossing folder, I then added a layer of crumb cake before adding another layer of whisper white which has been stamped in crumb cake using the En Francias stamp.  I then added the flowers and finished it off with a butterfly from the papillon pot pouri stamp set.  I also added a sentiment from Bring on the Cake.

Best of Flowers

Morning lovely people, I hope today finds you all well.  Lots to do here today from house hunting to making bath bombs lol

Today's card uses the Best of Flowers stamp set, It's one of the sets that Stampin up are using to celebrate 25 years.  They will be releasing one set per month until October.  This months set is Best of flowers and includes some old favorites and one never before seen stamp, it costs £13.95 for 4 stamps.

Again I've used the En Francias as a background stamp on this and teamed together the colours Baja Creeze and Chocolate chip.  I stamped the flower in chocolate chip as well then coloured it using the stampin write markers.

Bit of a closer look for you

The sentiment is made just by punching out two of the decorative label cutting it in half and sticking the chocolate chip to the ends of the very vanilla.  Simple yet effective.

Fathers Day Gift and card

Hello campers I hope you are all well and dandy ;-)  Yesterday we celebrated fathers day here in the mad house, my dad was guest of honour and we were joined by my little brother and his girlfriend, Scotty too Hotty arrived later as he had spent the day with his dad.

That brings me nicely to the card and gift bag I made for dad, I totally stole this from pinterest which you can see here.

Here is My card

It uses Midnight muse and very vanilla card.  I've used the En Francias AGAIN lol as a background stamp and also used the clockworks stamp set

I popped a pearl in the center of the hands and also added some card candy to the top right hand corner

I also inked and stamped the inside

Here is the matching gift tag and bag that I made, using the two tags die, which I really will be sorry to say goodbye to :-(

Another day another Everything Eleanor

Well the rain has arrived here in Yorkshire, I thought this might get rid of some of that mugginess that's been hanging around but alas it has not.

Today I've got a couple of things to show you using the everything Eleanor stamp set again.  I must admit this is a favorite of mine and I'm glad to say it's making an appearance in the new Annual Catalogue.

I've used pool party and soft seude again on this one, I've layered up the flowers by stampin then cutting out the large and medium flowers from the set, again I've used the En Francias stamp as a background and the sentiment is from the Bring on the cake stamp set.  I've added a few pearls to the center of the flowers and too the top right hand side corner.

I also made some of these little note books in the same way

Scotty too hotty took one of these into school for his girlfriend lol.

A Wedding Gift

Well the sun has got his hat on this morning, lets see how long it will last for.  Scotty too Hotty had a staring role yesterday in his teachers Assembly, not sure altogether what he did and by the way he explained it I'm not sure he did either lol.

Anyhoo on to todays offering, which is a gift to match the card I showed you yesterday

It's a lovely pottery heart that I have stamped using Melon Mambo ink and the 'Tiny Tags' stamp set.  Have a closer look

 

It was very easy to do, however I think you would have more of a problem stamping with wood mounted stamps as there is no give in them like the clear ones I have used.  This set by the way, is retiring.

Of course I had to make some pretty packaging for it

It's a simple thing to make just using the top note die, the En francias stamp a scalloped circle and some paper roses.
