Holiday Home

Hello Lovely Readers

I hope you are all well today, it is raining yet again here in deepest darkest yorkshire.  I have been out this morning and filled up Clara the Mad Mazda with petrol and got myself a latte with vanilla in anticipation of the grey day ahead.

Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the holiday home stamp set.  I've cased this card but I can't find where I first found it so unfortunately I can't give you the lovely crafters name who made the original nor can I link to their picture of it. If you see it and recognize it please can you let me know so that I can give credit where credit is due.

Very easy to achieve.

Thats all for now see you again tomorrow

World War II Pancakes

Hello everyone

Well the sunshine yesterday was very short lived, it soon turned in to cloud that then turned into rain, hope you had a better day.  Today I'm nursing a poorly Scotty too Hotty (nik-named after a WWE wrestler if you've not seen me previously talking about him) looks like it'll be a day home from school for him today.

Talking of Scotty today I want to share with you a project life homework project we did together.  Scotty's school project for this term is World War II, the children have been learning lots about the war including what happened to children like themselves.  As a homework project he had to follow a World War II recipe.  We decided on pancakes.
Here's the first page we made
As you can see we took photos of Scotty's pancake making, what we used and the method

 Here's our second page
And of course we had to show the eating and the enjoyment of them
I must say I didn't think I would use the project life items as I'm not really a scrapbooker but it makes scrapbooking so easy I highly recommend it, all of our photos are now being used as they should be and popped nicely in an album for people to look at instead of just filling up the computer at home where no-one sees them.

Wondrous Wreath

Hello Readers

It's looking a bit sunny today in deepest darkest Yorkshire after yesterdays full day of rain.  I'm also off to get some new glasses so my projects should now be even better because I'll be able to see them lol.

Today I want to share with you a card made with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and framelets.  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  I always have these good intentions of starting them early then end up rushing them all at the very last minute.

So onto today's card

I've gone with traditional colours on this one, but the wreath is so versatile, you know from yesterday that I did this wreath in autumnal colours, I've also see it in light blues and greys and it looks stunning.

Here's a closer look, I adore that Filigree frame embossing folder, I can see me using it alot.

Well I hope you like today's offering and if you would like to purchase any of the items used to make this card please click on the links below.

Autumn is here

Hello Dear readers

I hope that you are all well and managed to survive yesterdays winds and rain.  I want to share with you today a little autumn project I made.  It's really to replace the spring time wreath I had hanging on the inside of the front door for something more seasonal.

Isn't it lovely? I've used early espresso, pumpkin pie and whisper white.
The first plaque features a pumpkin with some autumn leaves, the pumpkin is made using the 1 3/4 Circle punch and the extra large oval punch, you can't see very clearly on this but ive also inked the edges to give it some pop.  The pumpkin vines are just very thin strips of Garden Green card wrapped around a pokey tool to curl them.
On the second Plaque I've stamped out the wondrous wreath in autumn colours.
On the last plaque I've added a chalk board label (available on Ebay) so little messages can be left by the family, watch this space for the Christmas version.

I hope you've enjoyed todays project and if you would like to order any of the stampin up items used please click on the links below.

The curious case of the broken arm.

Morning Lovely readers I hope the day finds you well.

I have another project life project for you.  This is something Scotty too hotty wanted me to document for him because, in his words, it was the best day ever!  It wasn't for me just for him. I bet you're intrigued now.

My little man broke his arm, now you're wondering why Scotty would say it was the best day ever.  It's because he wanted a cast, he cheered and did a little dance when the doctor solemnly informed him he'd broke his wrist, and said it's the best reaction he's ever had to someone being told they'd be in a cast for at least 4 weeks. lol
Oh but the drama wasn't over, this is Scotty with his temporary cast on, when we went to have a full cast fitted they found that Scotty's wrist had buckled and needed to be straightened out.  This would have to be done in theater under anesthetic.  Scotty you'd be surprised to hear was not one bit phased by this, in fact he was positivity happy about it! Not so much me.
Here he is after his little op with his brand spanking new red cast, waiting for a well earned KFC.

I hope you liked Scotty's little adventure. If you would like to have a go at project life please click the links below that will take you directly to my shop.

Holiday Project Life!

Hi My lovely readers

How are you all today?

I've been sorting out this years holiday photos with the help of project life.  We always take loads of photos and I always have the good intention of scrapbooking them and never somehow get round to it.  Mainly because I really don't know where to start or which photos to add or which theme to use and so on.  This is where project life comes in, it makes scrapbooking easy!  Yes you heard me right easy and quick to boot!! Now I am going to apologize for this post as it is a little photo heavy.

So here's my first page, with the year on of course.
It contains all Scotty too hotty the first two picture are him with his certificate for winning the fancy dress (he went as a minion) in his funstars t-shirt. and the second is of him painted up as a minion.
In this one he's with Anxious the Elephant and on the biggest deck chair ever!!
The second page is about fun and some of the characters we met on holiday.
The last page is Scotty and I and his little minion friend Kevin lol

Well I hope you've enjoyed a run through our holiday, if you would like to purchase the project life items and have a bash yourself, please click on the links below which will take you directly to my shop.

Camping jolly Holiday

Hello Dear Readers

Back again!  I hope today finds you all well. Today I want to share with you a card I made for my son's Scout Leaders.  These unsung heros put in so much work with the children, giving up their own time willingly and without pay, whats more they also take them away for a weekend camping! Very exciting for the children, relaxing for parents, but a lot of hard work for those lovely leaders!

So after taking Scotty too Hotty away for a weekend and all the organizing and planning that must have gone into that, the least I could do was send a little thank you card.  This card uses the Lovely as a tree and The great outdoors stamps sets, perfect for making camp related thank yous and uses Tempting Turquoise and whisper white card.  I used spectrum noir pens to colour in the images.

If you would like to purchase any of the items used to make this card please click on the links below which will take you directly to my shop.
